  1. For the comment saying that the pages don’t lineup, they absolutely do! I’m not sure if it’s a setting within the Kindle but it takes several clicks to the next screen to align with the next page within the book. This feature accommodates for the font size so every page number within the e-book, matches the page number in the physical book!

    Hope this helps! 🙂

  2. But, I prefer a physical book ♥️I Really love to immerse my myself with heart to heart connection, the feel of the book, the smell, the touch. 😘🫴🏼😌😌

  3. I don’t have a kindle personally, my mum does, I have tried it, and nothing can beat a physical book. For me anyways. And I just love collecting books so much, like a physical collection that I can display and keep, because so many of my books hold memories.

  4. The only true way you would know which is faster is to use word count since a page on an ereader is smaller (fewer words) than a page in a physical book.

  5. me before my kindle "Oh it is SO unneccessary and not as fun"
Me after buying a kindle on sale anyway : "They will have to pry you out of my cold hands my child"

  6. i adore physical books but i really appreciate being able to change the font to OpenDyslexic on kindle cause i find it so much easier to read

  7. Whenever I try reading on my phone, It just doesn’t workout, I haven’t completed a SINGLE book when reading on my phone

  8. I was thinking about getting a kindle before for like travel and stuff but they are so expensive compared to physical books. I know a kindle is kind of like a one off thing and you get heaps of books, but honestly nothing compares to the joy you get walking in a book store and picking out books and then after you read it, it’s sits on your bookshelf like a trophy you accomplished. But still, I don’t know… I’m leaning more to not buying one but I still kind of want one.😅

  9. The only thing I’d want to double check is the physical book page equivalents to what you read on the kindle because they each can have different page counts.

  10. i read the book on my kindle first and then if i like it, i buy it to add to my physical collection because i know i’ll reread it. it saves me money and space so i don’t have books that are DNF just sitting on my shelf LOL

  11. It is not just about turnin pages or just simply tap. I think on kindle or any kind e reader you can change the font type, size and row spaces and that is the reason. 😊

  12. Rather than measure how quickly I was reading, I was more interested in how comfortable I was reading (as active displays on an iPhone or iPad never do it for me). I was happy when I tried out my first PaperWhite.

  13. It’s not about rushing to get through a book it’s about enjoying it at your own pace. This is no hate to her but I do not like when people try to compare the two because it’s based off of “I gotta get through this “ etc. whatever works for you guys is what works for you but remember it’s never about trying to beat everybody on how many books you can read it’s about enjoying what your reading.

  14. i just got my first kindlle a couple days ago. ive blown thru 2 books in two days. i also got a remote page turner and its like a new world. no having to tap over and over, just touch my finger with my thumb (a ring) and didnt move for like 4 hours lmao

  15. Physical book is what we love! After spending hours in front of the laptop and mobile screens, holding a book that’s not on a screen is so peaceful ❤

  16. When she said 49 in an hour I went: ok I read to fast(150 an hour ((depending on the book size))

  17. Just bought a kindle bc it’ll fit in my little edc bag and I won’t have to lug around my chonky books

  18. You can adjust how much content you can see per page by making the font bigger and smaller. So it’s not a good comparison

  19. I definitely read faster on my phone than a physical book. But I love physical books, (though I might start using my Kindle now as well).

  20. The kindle is smaller than an actual physical book hence the kindle has lesser word count in each page compared to physical books

  21. I think its not really fair because the Kindle is smaller so I feel like you maybe read the same but with just a different fond.

  22. I’m thinking kindle. I got mine two weeks ago and I’m on book 3 already. I’m not a fast reader, so that’s really good for me.

  23. E-reader pages are not the same as paper pages, so unless you compare with the book you will not know

  24. Go and read on Kindle

    Book : the female creature
    Author: the Rationalists

It’s incredible…. You will thanks me later

  25. I just got a physical book and the text is so darn small. My kindle I always read faster as well just tap the screen.

  26. Hmmm…. You should do a test to ensure that the same amount of words are on a page between your device and the book. Magnification can significantly adjust it, and I THINK, page count goes by your specific magnification level. I feel like I explored that before for a different reason.

  27. I read faster with the kindle as well due to the dyslexia font plus more comfortable holding the kindle vrs a book

  28. That’s not comparable. Thats two different sizes the book probably has more words per page vs the kindle so 2 pages on a kindle can equal one page on a regular sized book.
