Gamepass is the reason why Microsoft has to sell Xbox games on PS5 because they’ve trained its users not to buy games.
Low userbase = Low game sales = less incentive for 3rd party studios to bring games to Xbox = vicious cycle.

Funny Gamepass worked quite fine since they trashed the free to play Games for Windows. Haven’t touched the Xbox app on a Microsoft Windows PC since Halo infinite fell out.
Hilarious players whined about linking a free PSN account, yet now I’m gonna need to link my Xbox account to a PC Xbox account!? And I thought it was hilourious I needed an epic games account to player Gears on the Microsoft owned Xbox app…
Again, why was Gamepass so popular!? Aside from a dumb gamer base that really thought AAA tittles would be permanent and not premium demos? Despite Sony having PS Now long before trying the whole game streaming BS?

Im confused about the difference between PC Game Pass and the Ultimate one. I have the PC Game Pass and there arent as much games available than i thought. Do i get even more games with Ultimate that i can play on PC ? I dont have a Xbox. Also does that mean that i can also cload game on PC ? Dont know if i should upgrade to Ultimate if i cant play the games on PC.

I’ve been paying ultimate for a long time. There are some games I’ve been able to try, some I liked like ufc, back for blood, which I then had to buy when it came off game pass, forza; also recently forza 4 just got discontinued, but I didn’t like that game that much to buy it. The fact that you don’t actually own the games there is something that had me thinking recently. Most of the games I play are bought games that aren’t on the subscriptions. And the 100 of games on ultimate aren’t really games that are of any interest to me. Sure I’ve tried a few, and only a select few from that small list have actually been regularly playing. It just takes a lot for me to move onto a new games, but I have to say having ultimate did give me the option to at least try. For the pricethough, I feel it’s not worth it anymore. 3 months of ultimate I can use to get core for a year and still have some change left, factor that in with the fact that most of the games on game pass and EA play are just of no interest.

Just looking at the back of it, it looks exactly like mine. The Asus logo being lit up white is what caught my attention because my logo on the lid only lights up white, too. Not all of them do light up white and some are even customizable.

My pc is my xbox and pc game pass ultimate for $20 is so worth it for cloud gaming and day 1 releases like call of duty black ops 6 no need to pay $70 since microsoft owns activison its now on game pass day 1 release.

I wish game pass had "audible credit" component. The game pass system mentally prohibits me from purchasing stuff for the games. Not really about money, but why would purchase dlc if I cant keep main game. Why would I pay for game pass if I’m gonna have to buy the full games or wait around for discount. Provide a number of credits per per which can turn a game pass game into an owned game.

Ultimate is must for me. Have had GP Ultimate from the very beginning of that service and its only getting better and better every year.
