  1. As a new business starter, if i wanna purchase a domain. What are essentials i need to include, should i add an email as well ?

  2. Why you didn’t include dynadot this year? It should be in the top 3? It is now cheaper than porkbun

  3. Thank you for a great video! Any suggestions or advice on transferring domain names? Do you recommend any particular company that makes the process easy and affordable?

  4. I need you to be my professor. This video packed a punch in such a reasonable amount of time. I was surprised when it was over! Thank you for making this video:)

  5. Incredible thank you very much. I saw somewhere that going with cloudflare locks you into their DNS; so far as I understand its the Domain Name Server… do they own their own DNSs that they force peoples’ routers to use to find your website? Just a little confused as to what that might mean.

  6. I needed help from godaddy, I haven’t had a phone since before I bought web space from the dump.

    Their response:
The phone number is part of the verification process, and without it, things like 2-step login or account recovery won’t work properly.

The email that we were using for my support ticket is the one given when I joined 10 years or more ago FOR ACCOUNT SECURITY AND RECOVERY.
Seems to work okay for everything but letting me into my account.

I am still waiting for an intelligent answer as to whether phone users have to have a computer to verify their over ten year old only change has been password account when they turn their phone on?

Basically, I was told to go intercourse myself, we don’t want your business.
How different is that than saying we don’t want your business because your are green?

Beside, all the security commercials say don’t give out your personal info.
If I had a phone, that would be personal info . . .

A google search shows attacks on GoDaddy four out of the last six years. This years data is not in yet.

  7. Thank you for this video! It explains a lot of things I wouldn’t have been aware of if I would have bought a domain on my own. Great job!

  8. What about monthly costs?

Squarespace is looking more like a pile of hot garbage to me. First of all, they have practically no customer service support. You get to hear from ZigZag. Oh, you don’t know who that is? Me neither! But it will email you in its robot language after you send the company an email about billing issues you’re having.

Which brings me to that. I’ve been getting some phantom charge from them monthly on top of the monthly charge for my website. Do they care? No, but ZiGzAg will email you and vaguely mention something about your issue.

    🤦🏻‍♂️

  9. Seems to be really bad idea to recommend a domain reseller that does not even have a "Contact Us" page.

  10. You are discussing yearly costs, however, I have noticed that these costs are monthly ie. $20/month verses annually. That is significantly more. I went with a "free" domain cost the first year and now they are asking for over $300 for the annual fee.

  11. Hi.
    Excellent video.
I have a small gardening lifestyle business.
What kind of domain and hosting would be suitable to build my website ?
I am a noob in this space FYI. 😅

  12. Thank you so much for taking the time to research and share this information. I was clueless about the many domain companies and you saved me from going with GoDaddy. The visuals, your tone and pace are superb!

  13. what kind of issues can we get from domains we register a name and pay every year what issues can come I am thinking to go with cloud flare but can you explain if its a bad ideas and I should go with spaceship?? pls tell

  14. I went with Cloudflare. The DNS setup was super easy with the help of ChatGPT. You just add an A record with your public IPv4 address.

  15. Great guidance. I personally have a domain at LWS. It’s super fast and super efficient, so I think the registrar is the best.

  16. How do you recommend transferring your Domain Name from GoDaddy to SquareSpace? I really like
My Domain Name as it is my name!!! Oh my gosh. I am overwhelmed but I will learn all of this. Thank you for your videos. 🎉🎉🎉
