  1. Discount tire fked up mine. Improperly installed the tire pressure sensors. I don’t know how I managed to drive to another state. I woke up the next morning with a flat. Won’t ever go to discount tire.

  2. Reminds me I went in for an alignment at discount tire I had ONE tire barely in the yellow and they declined me saying oh it’s going to through the whole machine off and give me a false reading like bruh if you don’t wanna do it just say so I’ll take it somewhere else which I did and it aligned just fine shocker car was a ford flex

  3. Last time I was at discount tire to get my wheel patched, they scratched my wheels. Lug nut holes were scratched by the impact drill tool they used.

  4. Right around three minutes 50 seconds. You put your feet under the tire. While the car is only supported by a jack and not a jackstand. you know Jack’s fail, right?

  5. interesting back breaking vid, quite astonished a tire focused shop has no lifts and does it all with floor jacks.

  6. Only worked at DT for 4 months before I quit. Everyone at my store was a piece of work. I really tried to make friendly but people seemed to enjoy pushing around quiet kids

  7. Your store is chill, mine is noisy, loud and fast pace no time to think or reflect on your work.

  8. This is nothing against you but just a random. For some reason every discount tire tech I’ve worked with is extremely confident… To the point of cockiness… Like I’ve seen discount tire techs get hired as lube techs at a dealership then act like they’re higher level despite the fact that their only car experience is their own car and discount tire.

  9. Impacting the crap out of the wheels and the icing on the cake is torquing it 😂😂. Should go back to school

  10. You people fuck up my car every single time I go in. You forget to tighten lug nuts, overtorque them, forget the logo in the center of my wheel, etc.

  11. Ignore those losers who are fuckin’ with you. They are jokers. Jokers are bad. Only artists and sharers are true. Aristists care about their friends and other peop.e. Joker’s aren’t really your friends. They might be your bros but they aren’t your Aunts and Uncles.

  12. Not sure how DT sets their torque setting to only 80 ft lb. On my toyota it is 76 ft lb. DT checked on google but still refused to acknowledge it. Every car is different. It should be torque to the exact from manufacture. Same with tire pressure. Every car is different.

  13. youll never get me to go back to any discount tire. to many of my wheels scratched and beat to death by high school aged kids who dont care about anything. and then the scam they play when doing a tire repair on taking tire off rim then saying they cant fix it and it to dangerous to put it back on. I about leveled a manager when he tried that crap with me when my wife called me upset saying they pressured her to buy a tire. very shady company practices.

  14. The torque stick goes on the impact buddy. It’s called a a torque limit stick to make sure you don’t over tighten it. The torque wrench is used to be spot on. Whoever has taught you guys how to use that is teaching you guys wrong. Putting a torque stick on a torque wrench is the dumbest thing I’ve seen yet.

  15. Don’t let them turn you into an assistant mgr. If that happens your life belongs to DTC. speaking from experience. Best thing to ever happen to me was being let go by them aka fired.

  16. I remember working in a tire shop. I do not miss it. BUT, I will say your shop looks so much nicer & better than the one I did.

  17. The torque stick you were using is designed to be put on an impact and is designed to stop the impact gun for over torquing. It is not designed for a torque wrench what so ever, in fact you are not ensuring proper torque whatsever by using it on a torque wrench. Put that torque stick on your impact so you dont over torque and if you need to use an extension use a shorter one, the longer the extension the more torque you are taking away from it.

  18. I’ve worked for Sears automotive and Mavis Discount for over 24 years between the 2 companies. You’re supposed to use the torque stick on the gun putting the lugs on in a star pattern and you’re supposed to torque the wheels with a torque wrench WITHOUT the torque stick on it. This is lazy.

  19. Why did he have to replace the valve stem? Never mind. I see they discard the original ones right off the bat.

  20. no need for a rebalance after a repair if you just mark the position of the tire before you take it off, then remount in same position

  21. Gee… I can’t understand how the wheels get scratched up. I would never go to D.T. in the first place. Gratiot Tire’s been around for 70 years, they do Road Force and the people working there cares about what there doing.

  22. its always fun to see a pov of people doing whatever their job is: Apache helicopter pilot doing a pre flight inspection, tire guy changing tires, guy hydro jetting a clogged sewer line, Delivery driver, 711 cashier, airport luggage handler, tower tech changing a light bulb, etc. Just super neat to see people do a job that isnt mine.

  23. ONLY TWO LIFTS !!! making you use jacks all day that’s criminal … I’m not really religious but I am praying for your backs boys 🙏

  24. Inflates tyres in the cage but not use safty/jack stands 🤣
then using the gun on lock nuts 🤣
At least you’re not clamping wheels on the inside
