wait wait don’t buy this laptop please it has low powered adapter which is 135w only for a gaming laptop its very very low i had the laptop and it drains battery even when plugged in while doing heavy rendering and heavy gaming don’t buy this laptop it games for around 3 to 4 hours depending on the mode in balanced very less battert drain again mentioning its plugged in and on performance and turbo mode with fan speed max it drains a lot like a lot means a lot please don’t recommend this laptop we people on reddit fighting with acer about this issue for about 8 9 months now and they did nothing we even tried more wattage charger did not work because laptop is lock at 135w so ya this laptop is trash with amd cpu the situation is controlable but with intel hx cpu the situation is much worse please dont buy this laptop for something else please !!!!!!!!!!
For everybody that says acer is crap. I have three Acer laptops one from 2005 another from 2013 and the newest one from 2023.
They all still work perfect. The one from 2005 is literally missing chunks out of the plastic has been dropped has been thrown and still works. So if that’s considered garbage I guess I love garbage

Honestly, my i5 laptop w/ 1650 is still meeting my needs for the vast majority of games and software that I want to use. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t handle Xenia and RPSC3 well, but after some testing the last few days, most issues I’ve been running into are on the emulator side. Those games that run well on the emulator, run well on my system. So largely it’s become a retro-game haven with the fancy bezels emulating CRT and Composite video filters – as well as older games, indies, and even a few of the lighter weight modern games.
For anything that demands a more powerful system, I just stream from my 4070 desktop computer.

1. ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (Ryzen 7 7445HS, RTX 4050, 16GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, 16โ WUXGA 144Hz) – $600 at Walmart
2. Acer Nitro V 16 AI (Ryzen 5 240, RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 16โ WUXGA 180Hz) – ~$630 now.

Nitro 5 sucks in power management. Their power phases are too few which causes mosfet to heat up very fast

5050? Well at least it has 8 gigs.. i got the 2021 nitro 5 with the Intel i5 and a GTX 1650ti 4gb.. and it really struggles with newer games
