  1. I got a full computer with a 5950x and a 3090 for $5. Neighbor was cleaning out a old house and this was one of items lol

  2. I will bet money that “dad” works at goodwill and priced that himself. 99% of more expensive things like PC parts and games just go online now.

  3. Flea markets are a good bet also. Found a 3700X for 1$ with just a couple bent pins and a pretty beaten up 3600XT for 3$. Both worked perfectly fine.

  4. I would never ever buy a video card from Walmart. They do not have any quality control on returns. So if you buy an open box item on their website, you’re going to get the Amazon treatment. Good luck explaining the video card to the return desk people.

  5. Been to goodwill plenty of times, only pc hardware I’ve seen there are ancient oem towers and equally ancient lcds

  6. I found a noctua cooper there for like 20 bucks had all the hardware and everything i believe it was the nhd-12u or something like that. goodwill is always worth the time for pc parts

  7. I work at good will and trust me you won’t find much for parts we rarely get something and if we do it’s so outdated

  8. My local Goodwill thinks computer hardware is gold.1st through 4 th gen intel systems generally sell for around $150. If it’s newer than 6th gen it’s going to be $600+ Parts are outrageous as they had a GTX 1080 for a little over $200. A 9th gen intel cpu / board combo for ~$400 (Think it came with 16GB ram).

  9. There’s a lot of stuff that get donated to Goodwill/ Salvation Army etc. there are some employees who are smart enough to buy donations when they spot a good deal when they do the sorting AFAIK, employees/volunteers get first pick if they spot something.
A lot of the stuff come from old folks where one partner has passed or they are moving into a facility etc. Some come from Sunshine Cleaners from murder houses. You can snag almost brand new clothes like full suits that have only been worn a couple of times.

  10. List PC parts stores/websites: (1.2 millions matches)
List PC parts stores/websites *in Europe*: (failed, nothing found)

  11. When I got out of the PC building game I donnated a few thousand dollars worth of shit to them. I know someone came up.

Also when I was living in Henderson Nevada I donated this very chip the Ryzen 7 5800X and a kickass motherboard thanks to new egg. I couldn’t get to my build before the warranty expired. The board and CPU were not compatible despite new egg and the manufacturer stating they were. I didn’t have the time or energy to find a buyer so I just chalked it up to the game.

Edit. Correction it was a Ryzen 9 5950X. I hope someone either made some dough or built the PC of their dreams with that bad boy.

  12. That is an awesome find at a Goodwill
Well time to put Goodwill in shop at Goodwill website on my list I’m guess I’m going to join a bidding war Or go hunting

  13. "Buying at walmart can buy you tons of money" Including the hundreds of dollars in shipping I’ll pay? I live in Sweden.

  14. the wal-mart images show someone swapped the card in the box for something else why would you or the editor us a theft by return as a deal image?
