Diving into the world of gaming laptops this year, I’ve sorted out the top contenders that stand out in each price range, just for you! Whether you’re a student on a budget looking for the best gaming laptop under $1000 or a hardcore gamer ready to splurge, there’s something here that screams your name. For those hunting the best budget gaming laptop, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is a beast with killer battery life and robust performance, perfect for those marathon Counter-Strike sessions after class. And if raw power is what you crave, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 at times dips to a sweet spot price of $850, making it a steal for frame rate enthusiasts. No matter your budget, these picks pack some serious punch without burning a hole in your pocket.

Upping the game to the $1000-$1200 zone, the options get even hotter. I’ve spent hours testing the Gigabyte G6X and MSI Katana A15 AI, and let me tell you, these machines deliver incredible value. The G6X might get a bit noisy under pressure, but its 1080p gaming chops are worth it for someone who plans to stay mainly plugged in—a perfect choice for home gamers. In contrast, the Katana A15 is a favorite when it comes to delivering a bit more graphical oomph at a not-so-crazy price. You might have to trade off some premium build quality, but man, this device’s performance pushes it right to the top. So if you’re in the market for a balanced budget-laptop that doesn’t skimp on gaming performance, these picks hit all the right notes.

  1. are we seriously still talking about gaming laptops in 2025? who even has time for gaming when life is all about making money? stop wasting time on these toys and grow up already.

  2. what’s the deal with ppl buying gaming laptops over desktops? like seriously, if you want to game, just get a desktop. laptops are known to blow up from overheating!

  3. I heard there’s no difference between a $1k and a $3k so-called gaming laptop. you’re just paying for the name and the flashy lights. which by the way, why do grown people want lights on their laptops? looks like a Christmas tree, and feels embarrassing if you’re older than 12.

  4. Oh sure, spend your hard-earned money on shiny laptops. It’ll be obsolete in 6 months anyway. Why not just buy an overpriced console that makes just as much noise as your uncle’s lawnmower? That’s what really makes sense, lmao.

  5. does anyone really game on laptops? i thought they were just for high schoolers who don’t have a clue what a real pc should be. PC Master Race people!

  6. Do any of these laptops have a feature where you can make cappuccinos on the side? Because all the specs mentioned don’t make any sense to me, but I’m planning to start a gaming coffee shop, so that’s more important

  7. For my first laptop/pc will a 5070 do or will i need a 5070ti ? Or any reccomendations welcome lol, gaming, not bothered about maxed out settings, as long as it looks decent and runs well. Im currently returning a 3050 laptop as i ordered it without doing reasearch now having to return for refund as everyone commented not gd enough. The cheaper the better for me im on tight budget.

  8. As someone who’s been in the tech industry for years, I can say with absolute confidence that MacBooks are the superior choice for gaming. They have better build quality and can easily outshine these so-called gaming laptops any day. People buy these overpriced junk just to flex specs they don’t even need.

  9. Gaming laptops under $1000? What a joke. If you’re over 18 and still looking at these, maybe it’s time to rethink your life choices. Everyone knows the true gamers build their own PCs from scratch. It’s just embarrassing to see grown folks drooling over budget laptops. Go mow some lawns and save for a REAL gaming setup.

  10. it’s kinda sad to see so many people trapped in the cycle of endlessly upgrading expensive gaming laptops… i bet half these viewers haven’t even touched real grass in years. maybe try that and see what the world has to offer other than pixels on a screen?

  11. I thought The most important things to consider when buying a laptop are: processor performance, RAM capacity, storage type (SSD is faster), graphics card

  12. who even buys gaming laptops these days lmao? everyone knows real gamers build their own pcs. a little bit of hardware knowledge goes a long way. grown adults spending money on these ridiculous toys need a new hobby.

  13. can someone please explain why anyone needs a laptop with more than 8GB of RAM? literally no games use that much. all these models sound overpriced and unnecessary. people just want big numbers to feel better about their purchases.

  14. Imagine being a college student and spending over $1000 on a gaming laptop just to fail your exams because you were too busy playing. And for what? Mediocre graphics on your dorm bed? Just buy a textbook.

  16. lmao, why are people so pressed about mobility? Who takes their gaming laptop to a park or a café anyways? also, these companies charge ya more for LEDs instead of actual performance. Dire waste of money.

  17. can someone explain why anyone would buy a gaming laptop over just an iPad with a keyboard? I played Roblox just fine on my iPad and didn’t need all these fancy specs these companies try to shove at you. Feels like a scam if you ask me.

  18. does anyone really game on laptops? i thought they were just for high schoolers who don’t have a clue what a real pc should be. PC Master Race people!

  19. can the laptops in the under 1000 range run things like GTA fiveM? looking for something kinda for school but more or less portability to run fiveM and minecraft and all that fun stuff

  21. so confused why anyone would spend money on these gaming laptops. aren’t macbooks supposed to be the best for gaming now? thought they had the best graphics

  22. Got an asus zephyrus g14 back in 2022 and i made the mistake of buying it with 6gb of vram. Now playing games like oblivion is almost impossible, even if cpu and gpu can easily handle it. AAA games are trying to make my laptop obsolete.

  23. What do you think of this one: ACER NITRO V 15 ANV15-51-97UV, 15,6 ", processore Intel® Core I9 13900H, 16 GB, 1024 GB SSD, Black.
I need to install the Velocidrone flight simulatore and FaVinci Resolve to edit videos, for the most. And no games.
    Thank You

  24. Lol at people thinking they need laptops with RTX 4050s or 4060s to game. Everyone knows real gamers are still using Intel Pentium processors from the 90s. Maybe just learn to play games that don’t need ridiculous graphics? You’re just wasting money on overhyped tech anyways.

  25. does anyone know if these laptops are good for serious productivity work like excell spreadsheets or microsoft ppt? honestly, gaming seems like a waste of time but i need a good work laptop.

  26. does anyone know if these laptops are good for serious productivity work like excel spreadsheets or microsoft ppt? honestly, gaming seems like a waste of time but i need a good work laptop.

  27. Bro how are you gonna recommend these laptops without even saying what exact gpu it has LOLLL

  28. guys, why would anyone sit through a gaming sesh on a laptop with fans louder than a jet engine? like do you even care about your hearing or you just enjoy the noise?

  29. Oh sure, spend your hard-earned money on shiny laptops. It’ll be obsolete in 6 months anyway. Why not just buy an overpriced console that makes just as much noise as your uncle’s lawnmower? That’s what really makes sense, lmao.

  30. You think its worth buying a laptop for high grade pcvr or you think laptops aren’t capable of that?

  31. who needs these gaming laptops tho? you can just get a nice desktop and it’d be waaaay better. portability is overrated when we have cloud gaming and streaming, just stop wasting cash on shiny screens lol
