STOP Paying $60 for Games | How to Save Money on PC Gaming

In this video, I discuss how you can save money on video games and how you should not pay 60 dollars for PC games. 60 dollars has been the standard price on video games since the Nintendo 64. Games used to be worth 60 dollars. But ever since the decline of gaming, games are no longer worth 60 dollars. With microtransactions, battle passes, season passes, DLC, and loot boxes; game developers and publishers have more ways than ever to make money. Therefore, all games should now be free to play.

  1. I still have my consoles, but with the new generation I decided to stick to PC to the point where I built a mini PC to connect to my TV for console like gaming.

  2. Good points were made. I remember I paid 100.00 for Phantasy Star IV on the genesis and 80.00 for Final Fantasy III on the SNES. But I rarely pay full price for games now, especially since they make way more money off of microtransactions.

  3. I only purchase games that are $5 or less even if I have to wait years to finally play the game this is just my motto and it’s been this way ever since I was a kid and I ain’t stopping now if the elder scrolls 6 come out in 2030 I ain’t going to play it until 2080

  4. Great video! I really miss being able to share games on the Xbox we used to save sooooooo much money back then. I am really glad that you talked about green man gaming and cd keys because those websites are underrated in my opinion. Next Erock merch idea is "Stop Paying $60" lol

  5. Great video! There are so many ways to not pay 60$ ever! Thank you Erock for shedding light on some of these techniques and here’s hoping many more consumers can get on board! Let’s go! πŸ˜€

  6. Yeah paying 60 dollars for a game is tough for me unless its my sports games which I enjoy on my free time away from fortnite. But yeah Fortnite is a game where ive spent 3 years playing as my main game I have around 3000+ hours played on it as a free game which is crazy, also I play it competitively and thats why I love it. I switched to Warzone for a couple months but theres no competitive aspect to it meaning tournaments open to the community or a ranked mode so thats why I’m back to Fortnite because I love the competitive scene. And yes I have full year EA play which is such a good idea so i can play all my sports games for 60 dollars instead of spending 60 dollars for each one. Great video Erock keep it up on the way to 1000 subs WOOOOOO!

  7. Paying 60 dollars for a game isn’t really a thing for me unless i can make 10k a month but as an average person I’m buying a game after 50%+
