  1. If you live with someone, then after your contract, you call to do an account take over with the other person. The equipment stays new person is a new customer with new promos.

  2. It’s easy to tell people to buy their own equipment, but much harder to actually do so. First, cable boxes are pretty much unavailable these days. At one time you could buy a fully compatible cable box from Best Buy or online sellers, but as Comcast kept changing specs it became too hard/expensive for outsiders to constantly update their offerings. If you have a source, please let us know. Second, you can buy a separate modem and router, or a combination gateway, from companies like Motorola. However, some of the features that only come with the Xfinity gateway are not available on the third party hardware, and you will incur additional charges to regain those features. Comcast makes a lot of money renting cable boxes and gateways, and they’ve made extensive efforts to keep that business. While the government has rules to keep them from absolutely forbidding you to buy your own equipment, in reality they just found ways to discourage outsiders to offer cable boxes or to be able to keep certain features if you don’t pay for their gateways. In other words, they comply with the letter of the law, but not the intent. Don’t expect the FTC or FCC to fix the problem, they are no longer about protecting customers.

  3. Hey you run a great channel, and I love it, but for the sake of blind people everywhere, please when giving out important phone numbers, don’t just list them on the screen. 🙂

  4. If you do move address make sure to cancel your service and then get your self a new service. I made the mistake of moving service and some how I ended up with two accounts one was being paid with autopay and the other one was suspended because it was never payed for three months and that’s how I know I had two accounts. And had to pay them of and now they want to pay for the equipment that really already returned. Worst customer service ever. I hope nobody goes through this.

  5. They could also see if they qualify for Xfinity internet essentials it’s cheaper than regular internet.

  6. It’s so hard to get an Xfinity Mobile sell nowadays. Customer’s are always mad of the service due to constant changes and upgrades they’re doing. Which for us as a CSR we need to get at least 1 XM line sale a month just to get additional incentives and be qualified for it. It’s no easy to deal with angry customer’s yet we’re only getting paid like $300-$350 a month as an employee.

  7. I pay $82 a month for 200 download speed from Xfinity I’m hoping T-Mobile gets a stronger signal in my area soon I have T-Mobile cell service

  8. I currently have Dish and my contract ends next month. I’m going to contact Xfinity for cable as I have them already for internet. My question is should I call them or go to my local Comcast Xfinity office? I am tired of Dish now, as they went up too. Old school and don’t want to stream.

  9. The only problem with owning your own router is that you will lose unlimited data and to get that back you will have to pay for it. Typically, about 15 bucks per month. If you game or stream a lot then you may want to stay with the OEM router. Another problem is that if you have a problem with your internet then they will not help you if it is a router issue.

  10. I know a glitch which helps me to pay my bills in 50% payment every month on my Xfinity and electric bills 😅😂

  11. how is 100 mbps available??? comcast said they don’t have 100mbps anymore and that it’s been upgraded to 200pmbps

  12. I have Comcast 1gig for few years now with Motorola MT8733 & just get a deal from Comcast every year …beside the speed, really relivable Solid internet service NOO issues whatsoever lovin it👍

  13. Lowered "xfinity" internet bill by switching to a rival company. And no stupid yearly contract.

  14. My parents have Xfinty my parents had 185 channels I downgraded them to 125 and they had the gig I downgraded them to 800 they have Xfi complete you have a good channel

  15. I found a while back that Xfinity had inflated my TV service to what used to be the old top level package. I was able to downgrade to the mid tier and save about 20 dollars a month with minimal loss of channels I even remotely cared about.

  16. Concast, Xshittity went way over the line by placing channels behind pay walls. It was the beginning of the end for me. Now, they doubled my bill with no explanation. I’m canceling next week all services after 15 years. I switched to Verizon home 5G. Saved a ton.

  17. My tv pic has been scrambled for almost 2 months. The store manager tells me that there is work in progress, and tech support will not answer. In other words, if they have a problem it is tough luck for me. BEWARE! They also raise the prices regularly. Avoid XFINITY!

  18. Excellent ways to lower your stream, cable or internet bill. These prices are outrageous high when you add them all together. Buying you own modem is cheap & can quickly save you some $$ while putting you in control of your home network.

  19. $300 a month for way too long cable and internet
They quit negotiating way back. Said I was going to quit and stream. Fellow told me about how people don’t understand how it works, wouldn’t like it. He was arguing with me. Gal told me they weren’t losing customers when I asked. Point is after many attempts (after decades of being a customer) of negotiating without success, i quit. Bad business model and management. Got Verizon wifi 25 bucks, roku free, a hulu bundle for 13 bucks. Bye bye comcast xifinty. Too bad you don’t value your customers, think of ways to reduce your costs to pass on to customers, instead of piling more on and constantly increasing pricing to your customers. Read somewhere their business model is not working and losing enormous amount of customers every quarter.
Oh and I use rabbit ears for local channels.
Once upon a time cable was a good idea..and guess what. It was to be offering TV without commercials. 😂

  20. I initially chose Xfinity as my internet provider because it was the only available option in my area at the time. Unfortunately, my experience with their service has been the worst I have ever had with any internet provider. From unreliable service to poor customer support, every aspect of my interaction with Xfinity has been frustrating and unprofessional.

Over the course of four months, I experienced persistent internet issues, with service that was either extremely slow or completely unavailable. Despite paying full price, my internet was only functional about 25% of the time. During this period, I contacted Xfinity customer support 35 times, only to be transferred repeatedly between representatives who either lacked the knowledge to resolve my issue or simply did not care.

One particularly unprofessional incident involved a remote customer service representative who was hosting a party while working. I could hear laughing and joking in the background while I was trying to resolve my issue, which I had already been dealing with for two months at that point. When I requested her employee ID to report the situation, she initially refused to provide it, but I eventually managed to escalate the issue.

In addition to the poor customer service, I had 11 different field technicians visit my apartment before one technician finally diagnosed the issue correctly. He discovered that the cable running from the outside utility box to my router was faulty and scheduled a subcontractor to replace it. However, the subcontractor took an additional three weeks to arrive, and when he finally did, he went to the wrong address and falsely reported that the job was completed. I had to reschedule him for another three weeks, further delaying the resolution of my issue.

When the subcontractor finally did the work, he took shortcuts instead of properly running the cable, drilling a hole into the side of my building and routing the cable in an unprofessional manner simply because he was “busy.” This disregard for quality service was unacceptable.

In total, I took 16 hours off work waiting for service technicians and subcontractors, which affected my ability to take time off for the holidays. Despite enduring months of unreliable service and poor customer support, I never received any refund or reimbursement for my trouble.

Today, I officially canceled my Xfinity service and switched to AT&T Fiber, which I have had a much better experience with in the past. I encourage anyone considering Xfinity to think twice, as their service is overpriced, unreliable, and plagued by unprofessional customer support. AT&T currently offers a $200 gift card for new customers and free setup, making it a far superior option.

After this experience, I would rather have no internet than use Xfinity again.

  21. The best way to save money from Xfinity is to not pay online nor have auto payments. At some point you will be hacked and lose money.

  22. Owning your own equipment could cost you more if you need no data cap. You’ll be charged $30 for the privilege. No cost if you pay for their gateway at $15 per month I believe.

  23. I tried Billfixers and Billshaper and happy that they take care of the bill negotiation.

  24. The first thing you should do is get rid of Xfinity. It’s the worst provider in America.

  25. I hate Comcast I had an ATT account for forty years plus and they suddenly did a DOS attack on my account to force me to rent new equipment and pay them more. I wanted to keep my 45 year phone number but their marketing department decided to terminate my account and charge me $150 a month for non-service so I moved to Comcast and I am finding the same level of disrespect for their customers. In my efforts to resolve this matter I called AT&T billing saying I haven’t had service since Jan ! Their response was if you want to talk to a human you need to pay your bill for no service! This is total corporate extortion of the elderly! My paid bill was good till the middle of January!

  26. We looked into going with internet only, they want $110 a month. As far as xfinity customer service, it’s AWFUL.

  27. I got an email saying that if I enrolled in automatic payment I would save 10 dollars a month on my bill. I enrolled and my bill coincidentally went up by 10 bucks. Lmao. So I’m paying the same amount and if I decided to stop automatic pay ill actually be paying more. What a fucking scam.

  28. Xfinity website is atrocious. It continues to push you to add mobile. There is no change internet speed plan, only upgrade, when you click it you get a page to add mobile, nowhere on that web page is there anyway to change your internet speed. What a scam.

  29. What timing! I literally just sat down to open my bills and call them about my $25 / mo increase. Thanks Mike.

  30. We Got Rid of Our Cable Boxes It Cost $10 a Month We are Streaming Cable We Also Got Rid Of 3 Cable Boxes at the Other House and It Saves Money Also They are also Streaming We Are Saving Money it used to be $8.50 a Month they changed it the Internet Equipment it was $14 Dollars a month and now it is $15 dollars a month We Keeping the big cable box and their equipment they are still on a contract.

  31. A year ago Xfinity was going to raise my internet rate from $60 to $75 a month. I called the retention dept and told them I was thinking of going to Verizon, even though that service is not available in my area. The rep agreed to keep my current price for a year. Now that the year is up, they want to charge me $83 a month. I wonder if I can trick them again?

  32. I had to break up with Xfinity. They kept calling me a valued customer but never returned my calls when I had concerns about my cable. The charges for fees almost doubled my monthly bill. They finally called after I cut the cord. Then they wanted me to reconnect my services to determine if they had any deals for me. I don’t qualify for the acp. I use to be able to renegotiate my bill. Not anymore.

  33. Update: ACP is no longer an option – the government stopped the program – so step #4 in this video is no longer valid.

  34. I have a question, how many people would go back to Directv IF their basic package was $50 a month and included all taxes and fees? 🤔

  35. We have Optimum. I really believe they are owned by Xfinity. Cutting the cord in 2015, internet prices are ridiculous. There is only one broadband provider in our small town. Researching routers, your video is leaning me in that direction. Thank you for the video. Have a wonderful Sunday. ❤❤❤❤

  36. Currently have 1Gig Comcast Internet, 185 Channels of TV, and Home Phone (Family member will not give that up lol) and Xfi Complete as well
