November 3 2024 – here is my breakdown of what I got in Canada (from CDKeys):
BOUGHT: three (12mo) Core cards (WW)x $59ea=$177+ one mo. GPUltimate $16.59 —> 36 +1 free mo, so 37mo.
RESULTED IN: Nov 4 2024 to July 4 2026 of GPUltimate —>21mo (20 plus 1 free mo) COST=$194/21 = $9.20/mo CAD

6/13/25 – still working. $75 for 12-month core on Amazon converted to 6 months ultimate + 1 for the ultimate code, so 7 months for $95 (savings of $45). You can use 14,000 MS Rewards points to buy the ultimate code and save the extra $20. It’s one of the better $/point conversions so works out nicely.
Does it matter that the ultimate is non stackable?

Does this conversion work if you use a 1-month Game Pass Ultimate trial code?
Just tried it on Nov 27th 2024. I got 12 month Core + 3 month Ultimate for $70 total. This converted to 10 months of Ultimate ($7/mo). My ultimate subscription expires on Sept 27th, 2025 now. Still works! thank you.

it says “xbox 1/pc” but when you scroll down and click activation it says “for xbox series S/X” will it work with it?

It’s more wise to buy a few 3-month Xbox Core cards rather than two 12 months cards because with each card or key you get an extra free month, and that adds up

only 2:1 now "Xbox Game Pass Core conversion ratio: Any remaining time will convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a ratio of 2:1 and be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days remaining of Xbox Game Pass Core will convert to 45 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time."

I read on the Microsoft website that the conversion rate is 2:1 meaning 6 months of core will convert to 3 months if ultimate. Did it change since the time you did the video?

Guys, this still work en october 2024. *BUT* don’t buy 3 years of Core, not worth it because Xbox gives you only 19 months instead of 36 months of ultimate. just do as the video tells you, get 24 months and convert them.
Just to clarify, every year of Xbox core that you buy gets converted to ultimate, but when you convert they take off 3.5 months for every year pass you buy…
For example, as shown in the video, if you buy 2 years of core and want to convert it to ultimate you can do so, however 7 months of game pass gets taken off?..
And if you buy 3 years of core and convert to ultimate 10.5 months of game pass gets taken off?

I have a question, when i buy my game pass core for the 12 months, it says the 1 month ultimate is NON-STACKABLE. so would i not be able to transfer it over? i don’t wanna spend all the money and be disappointed

I spent £91 on 12 months membership ultimate and it would’ve been more Deira might later and add a couple more months to make it go up to 2026 I just don’t like paying monthly payments and stuff but thank you man CD kids is really good but but I had to type the codes and they type in really weird and you can’t understand what the letters and numbers are but I went to support Number. They’re very helpful and they give you the code. I prefer CDkeys over G2a

The conversion rate has changed to 2:1. Meaning 36 months of core now gives you 18 months of ultimate. Still a great deal!

Unless you meant Ultimate only in which case I get it since you’d be trying to get Ultimate while already being subbed to it, so there wouldn’t be any conversion to speak of anyway (I think ?) .
