i have dt990 pros and i absolutely love them. Maybe this guy isnt using a headphone amp or something, or just hasnt tried an equaliser

I still use the 3.5mm to usb converter that my Logitech G432s came with because if I use that I can hear myself

DT770 Pro are good as well
They arent made for gaming theyre made for music production and mastering, they also wont sound very good without an audio interface

Never tried the DT990 but I really like my Philips SHP9500. So comfortable compared to these garbage Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headphones I just got and am super disappointed with.

I don’t even know why they use those headphones still, there are way better things that you can buy on their website like the DT 990 headphones are over 10 years old.
I use an old shittu pair of Sony headphones and one of the ears doesn’t work anymore
I had the Astro 10 but they broke so i got Gh-1 they are green
I bought them and returned them. They are so bad, the sound quality for games and music is honestly astonishingly bad. I don’t know why so many streamers use them for gaming when they don’t even have directional audio.
Edition xs is cheaper now than the sundara’s normal price here sundara’s are about 150 now I believe edition xs is 279 on amazon

I had the Sundara’s for a couple of years but sold them. I found that I was using my Audiotechnica M40X almost exclusively. Often, It’s too loud around me for open back headphones.
That’s why I use hyper x cloud 3 wireless for only 60 bucks and are better 😂
Reason is not that they’re open back. Reason is those are studio headphones that let you listen to every detail of the sound. They are made for audio editors. This gear doesn’t make your stuff sound nice. This gear lets you evaluate your sound. This is working gear for specialists.
So if your still looking for headphones that have these comfortable muffs I would suggest the da 770 pro the name sounds different cause their from the same company but they are amazing and are better than the 990s

You can just order new pads for 20-50 bucks online after a year or so when the pads get worn out. the 990s are unreal would recommend to anyone.
But I won’t hear my game then because my computer sounds like a jet plane
comparing open-back studio headphones created for mixing/mastering music, with Hifi headphones…
They look and sound great and feel more premium then they look on pictures
A headset I see many people use (me included) is the HyperX Cloud IIs. They sound great, have punchy bass, and have a little usb remote that gives your headset virtual 7.1 surround sound. though it makes the mic sound mid compared to using the 3.5mm headphone right into the PC.

I bought a MSI headset recently and I absolutely hate its feel, my go to feel is the corsair HS60 pro, the issue is they don’t sell these anymore I don’t think. and I’m afraid of buying the new ones from corsair in this series. which sucks since I want a pair of headphones that last many many years. touch the head but NOT the ears themselves as its SUPER uncomfortable if anything hits my ears. they also must be really soft.

Plug them up to an amp and change the sound quality to studio and they’ll sound 100x better
