  1. I have the 2024 model and was bummed about it not having a num pad, so happy this years model has it! It helps a lot with Revit, will not upgrade this year but in 4-5 when I get the chance! No Mini LED this year is also sad, fingers crossed that later Blade 18 models get an oled panel when it starts being available! 😊

  2. I think the light-up motherboard on the bottom is a feature marketed for people who tend to use these heavy laptops vertically docked and connected to external peripherals as opposed to using them as laptops the "normal" way we’d typically expect.

  3. Does the 5070ti model of this make any sense? I feel like with the uhd screen that resolution is too high for that card

  4. Sorry dude… Not a contender. And this bottom window thing is laugh-out-loud material. OEM’s doing more stupid… And this: Protip: Clean your hands, clean your gear… Prep ‘for the roll’ for chrixts sake!

  5. Oh, they’d decided to save money and be the first Razer without secondary key lighting. Another 100% deal breaker. But thank GOODNESS for not being a haptic touch pad, they are awful, I want a proper click. No click = deal breaker. It seems we want entirely different things.

  6. Oled and a haptic touch pad would be a really nice addition, as well as realising it mercury white. The you’ll just have a really nice premium workstation laptop that no one would suspect of being a gaming laptop

  7. Ya I get better benchmarks on my hp Oman max with a 5090 it was 3100 with my firefighter discount. Razer a joke if the think going to by a laptop for 5000 that’s larger and runs a little worse

  8. i feel like ive been watching ppl review the same laptop / phone for 6 years now

consider AR glasses and robotics and such

  9. Matthiew, do you know if this pannel uses DSC ? If yes that would be a dealbreaker unless it can be disabled, due to poor clarity. Thank you in advance for your answer and great video !

  10. Call me when a company can make a laptop without hideous RGB keys and tacky vendors stickers

  11. One little comment as this will be my new laptop purchase for 2025. Of course you’ll see the bottom of the laptop everyday. The glass screen with RGB at the bottom of the laptop is for those of us who use it in a Vertical Stand for everyday desktop use as the vertical stand improves thermal performance.

  12. for that price, I want to see OLED, haptic touchpad, 9955hx3d
then it would be perfect. and, yes, I don’t care for that wonderful windows on the bottom
without 9955hx3d 440 hz full hd doesn’t make sense

  13. Is there a Mini-LED option? True HDR gaming should be what you’re getting at this price point.

  14. Thanks for the video Mattā¤
Please do well to do similar review for the newly announced lenovo legion 18..

Try to compare it with thr razer too.. It will be an honor if you can do it… If i have to spend 4500+ on a laptop, it should be on the best of the best.

  15. Hi there, why do other reviewers say 2025 Blade 18’s speakers actually degraded compared to 2024’s Blade 18?

  16. I got you man, i used macbooks before ,never feel a thing about haptic touchpad, but after using surface laptop i fell in love with it

  17. Yeah the 4K+ screen is a deal breaker for me, and 1200P is too low on 18" so there’s no happy medium. There’s no laptop GPU that’s made for 4K gaming let alone 2400P in modern AAA titles. I know this from my 4090m GT77 and all the game benchmarks I have compared with 5090m and the difference is no where near enough to make 4K worth it on a gaming laptop. 1440 and 1600p is where it’s at.

  18. 5:11 there *are* no 18" OLED panels for laptops. Samsung has yet to bless the world with any.

  19. 5:13 I’d rather have 5ms more latency than no vrr, window screen effect and definate burn-in 2-3years down
tho mini led would have been better at this price point

  20. I love my blade 18 and its the 2023 version with the 4090 and 2TB and use it for everything. It has travelled with me to the EU and all-over North America with it. Solid great laptop!

  21. The speakers sound TERRIBLE. I don’t know if it’s just me.

For that money I would expect nothing less than 64GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD. Minimum.
Also, single channel RAM. Nice! /s
But at least it’s not soldered.
The graph with the CPU temps, they are great but for what duration are we talking about?

    Thanks for the review.
The laptop certainly has good looks and positives for anyone looking to buy a Razer laptop.

  22. i have a cousin that likes to lay under the coffee table and look up this will be perfect for him

  23. Just coming here to remind everyone that Razer very rarely honours their warranty and will do anything they can to get out of it, they won’t even replace my Viper Mini (Ā£35 Mouse) that broke with less than a year of ownership. I have had 7 different support agents contact me over a week each one completely disconnected from the 1 Ticket I have made, they refuse to read previous messages other support agents have left and even threatened to close my ticket due to ‘inactivity’ (they are the ones that hadn’t responded to me, they are the ones that are being inactive lol).

Don’t give them any money, if I can save atleast 1 person from them then I have done my job. They won’t honour warranty on a Ā£35 mouse, the chance of getting warranty honoured on a $5k laptop is very much close to 0% i’d imagine.

  24. Just one more thing in life I wouldn’t ever buy, not even for just the kicks of it šŸ˜…. Better to build a decent desktop computer than buy this.

Matthew, do you think ROG Zephyrus G14 or G16 2025 versions would be better choice than this? Also how is the OLED burn-in prevention in it?
