If you are not in a hurry for your transaction to run, you can drastically lower the amount in gas fees that you pay. I show how I did a “claim” on some funds that were locked in the Strongblock.io contract. It took about 45 minutes to get my coins, but saved quite a bit of gas fees.

I tried doing the lower gwei a few weeks ago and submitted. It went overnight then cancelled on me, but still ate the gas fee.
Plus you have to have strong nodes right?
