The variety might be increasing, but most people only have a certain amount of time they can game so it isn’t like you are getting more gaming for more money
If they raise the price they should include a World of Warcraft subscription in Game Pass Ultimate to help compensate. I doubt there are that many people subscribed to both already, so it’s not like they’ll even be losing much revenue (maybe they’ll even be able to upsell some current WoW subscribers).
They can’t just keep increasing Gamepass price every single year. It’s unsustainable.
I’ve been a subscriber of GP since it first released and I will end my subscription if they raise the price. $25 is too much. I guess I’ll finally have a reason to play my huge backlog.
My max price is close as well and after that I’m out.

The handhelds are intriguing, but the price is about 50% too high. I could significantly upgrade the television that I game on for that price. Hard pass.

As soon as they increased their games to $80 I realized they are pushing people towards game pass. That is not a future I want so I am voting with my money and bought oblivion on steam. Steam works for the people not investors.

Gpu only went up in August or September last year ..and besides this video it seems likes you are justifying them raising it again because they are finally giving us content we pay for. Think all the years we got trash and still payed for it like myself. I think if it continues to rise gaming will be a rich man’s luxury. Gpu is the most expensive subscription i have and a 5 dollar increase is not justified imo as most people don’t play the majority of games it offers because of time and life. My point is as a gamer I don’t know why you keep making it seem ok besides this video!

Ive only been subbing to GP if there’s a game i want, quickly finish it within a month, try a short game if i finish that game early, and unsub. Than I’ll be playing my backlog games
They have raised the price of Game Pass Ultimate multiple times and they are implying that the PlayStation execs were right that the Game Pass model is not profitable or sustainable. They need to have a longer cooling off period before doing another increase. I thought they had figured out better ways to increase Game Pass revenue, such as early access and DLC/season passes.
Who the hell is going to buy a ROG with a XBOX button when you can’t even play all the xbox games? forget cloud when you are are out and about, good internet is not always avalable think about while traveling where unstable internet is avalable, cloud dont make me laugh. when you loose conection do you know how long it takes to reconnect to the cloud. the game restarts completly so frustrating and a waste of time and battery power! no we want native xbox game compatability.
If it goes up again, I may stop, then jump in briefly to play this title or that title. Paying every month when I often play games I own makes little sense.

Alot of my sons friends have never had gamepass as their parents can’t afford it so they end up just playing fortnite forever, gamepass will lose more and more as they increase the price.
Xbox needs to remove the first party day one gamepass and drop the price to something the masses can afford as 90% of the games on gamepass anyway are rubbish indie games no one touches

I’m on PC so I i will just wait for the inevitable price drop or steam sale for games. Eventually GP will lose a ton of subs due to price increases. This economy isn’t good enough for that nonsense. I imagine people will start treating it like netflix and only subbing for a month here and there when they really want to play a few things. Then cancel it.
The ‘leak’ was from a bogus site. Microsoft understand the demand curve quite well. If you increase the price, the revenue goes down. Nintendo and Sony have blind loyalty exception to the rule because their fans don’t budge even if the quality and price is not great. Microsoft don’t have that, so just have to innovate and give value.
I refuse to pay more for gamepass. I refuse to buy $80 games and I refuse to pay $500 or more for any handheld.
Nobody likes a price increase. Even I have a limit. I very much would like to see a cloud only tear as I don’t even have a console and play on the Samsung TV.

Only in the last month or two I have significantly participated in the following games. Doom the dark ages, expedition 33, oblivion, remastered, and Tales of Kenzera: Zau.
These have a combined retail value of C$232. I paid just under $50 Canadian for two months of service. How can that not have value?
It’s true that I probably would have only purchased maybe one of these four games and it’s true that I would’ve probably waited for a sale at sometime. However, game pass provides me the convenience of not having to wait and try something. I may not have wanted to try.

It could be a PC gamepass increase. PC gamepass pays less then console standard gamepass but gets streaming and Day one releases.

I miss paying like £45 for the year of xbox live and then paying £30-40 for a main series game 🙁
What baffles me is the fact we have to pay for an online service. Multi billion dollar company can’t even make their live service free… the amount of money Microsoft make outside of Xbox they can easily afford to make the live service free. We pay for the console, pay for the games, but then we still have to pay to play those game online. Disgraceful.

Like I aint Even mad, I pay 7$/month and got to play ClairObscure, Doom Indiana, Persona and currently playing Metaphor, I played them in the 4 months, that’s 32$, for 32$ I couldve only afford just one of those games on Steam… For me It could cost Even 20$ and I would be fine with it, as long as I beat 1 or 2 Games each month I’m already getting more than what Ive paid for.

I saved up for the switch 2, but never pulled the trigger given the very lacklustre reviews so far. Thats now become the basis for my ROG Xbox Ally X purchase. Yeah, its a lot, but for what the device can do its a no-brainer for me.
Microsoft rewards carried the Game pass for me, always on the farming 📈

Increasing Game Pass cost again? They just raised it, and people were already complaining that it was way too soon. If MS does this, they will be coming across as Nintendo part 2. I would not support that, and frankly I think it’s bad form for anyone to be agreeing with this amidst all this overt corporate greed.
