  1. I find, as you mention often, there simply isn’t enough content to keep all the streams i like all the time, so I switch off. Just dropped Max after getting through The Pitt to add a three month special on Apple TV to watch the Studio. Use Netflix fairly regularly, but only have Hulu because it was super cheap at Black Friday.

  2. I FOOLISHLY paid $200 a month for DIRECTV for the last 2 years. April 14th, it stopped working. I contacted AT&T, and they informed me they KNEW it wasn’t working and said I could either get another OR switch to streaming service. I switched to their streaming dongle. That lasted FOUR DAYS and I shipped it back. I had been gifted a ROKU+ stick and hadn’t used it. I plugged it in and now with a cheap ONN flat antenna have decided to BANK the $200 I was "wasting" on DIRECTV.

  3. I figured out how to not see umwanted political content on YouTube, so I’m back! Regarding the video, first a thank you. I’m looking forward to enhanced multiview on YTTV. Although to save money vs Sunday Ticket, I’ll be trying NFL Redzone on my big TV with my local team on my small TV. I wouldn’t need multiview for the NFL.

  4. Vhs tapes more free whiching and blue ray movies way go to all that for what to get more lazy and ever i don’t think so I don’t want internet

  5. Just got a letter from my provider saying they’re discontinuing tv service. I’ve long looked for a way to cut the cord but never found a way that made economic sense. Cut the tv part of the bundle and the internet part doubles, killing any savings cutting the cord. But now I’m forced to find a streaming tv service. Hope they won’t double my internet service price since they are the ones cutting the tv service.

I watch shows that often span channels and want a good dvr option. For instance F1 racing might be on ABC or could be on an ESPN channel. Tour de France has been moving around but may be exclusive to Peacock now, not sure. And March Madness typically runs on 4 channels. I’d like to be able to tell the dvr to record the program and have it figure out which channel is broadcasting the show I want to see. I would also like the dvr to be smart enough to know when a program is delayed or extended for overtime and record the entire program. Is that even possible? I typically extend the recording time of my current dvr by an hour or 2 hoping that will get the entire program.

The chooser sites I’ve found so far want me to choose the channels I prefer to watch, but when programs span different channels, that makes it hard to know if I’m getting the service I want.

    Any suggestions?

  6. why am i going to pay for something when i can get the samething FREE!! 🤣🤣 referring to frindly tv.

  7. Nope. I’m in my senior years and don’t travel much anymore so it’s part of my entertainment. And fortunately I can afford streaming.

  8. My issue with streaming services is, I pay for the service and still get bombarded with commercials.

  9. I don’t give a crap about YT’s multiview. I don’t see any reason to use it. YT should make it a payed option and cut the monthly basic charge by $5 a month.

  10. Is it worth to get a ROKU stick? I have utube on my phone. How do I mirror it to the roommates ROKU tv?.

  11. $197.75 for fubo $68.02 for Hulu hbo and disney w add ons vix+ $7.99 paramount+ $13.75 Netflix $24.45 espn+ $12.75 which is according to me $325 in total nearest 100th $330

  12. BREAKING NEWS FOR ROKU CHANNEL FANS: The content hz enhancers that change the 440hz to 434hz every 7 or 20 seconds is GONE!

Now it’s just 440hz; the same thing has happened with Hulu!

Now, there’s no way I’ll be able to watch or hear the Roku Channel or Hulu the same way again

    What’s with this new update?!

I liked it when it had built-in hz tuner form 440hz to 434hz!

    What have they done?!

    ☹️☹️☹️😠😠😠

  13. If you like side loading apps avoid Roku, Apple TV & upcoming Fire sticks (w/ Vega OS). 😁

  14. After dropping YTTV, I am using an Silicon Dust HDHome Run for my local networks and Freestream by Sling for news and older television shows that I have missed in my younger days.

  15. I have to say I have nothing against roku I’ve had some in the past but I don’t like ads in my face to where Apple tv 4k is a plus for me also the quality of it too. $150 dollars isn’t going to break the bank for alot of people but if you are able to stretch it then I guess roku and fire stick is a ok purchase for someone

  16. 0:57 The most streaming service that’s important to me right now is Hulu + Live TV. I use it a lot and my family uses it a lot for watching live movies and shows plus watch the local news.

  17. I’ve had the Roku Express for almost 4 years now, and it still works fine. If there should be any reason for me to get the new Roku Streaming Stick, it would be because my Roku remote doesn’t have the buttons for the power and the volume.

  18. I’m going to get rid of all my streaming channels as they are getting too expensive….its ridiculous…Netflix is gone especially…..30 bucks a month for Netflix is awful!

  19. I have been trying out DirecTV My Sports this month. I feel this service meets the needs of sports fans and those individuals that get entertainment content from streaming services (Disney+, Netflix, Roku, Pluto, etc.), but still like sports. DirecTV needs to expand local services (ABC & CBS) in the future for individuals that cannot access locals using an antenna (I can receive all my locals via an antenna). I hope other live streaming services offer similar "skinny" packages in the future….

  20. Haven’t seen any changes but YouTube TV just jumped to 92 a month. Its getting ridiculous!

  21. I only use Plex now. Bought the lifetime pass and can stream all the movies and shows I want for free now.

  22. As of June 23rd 2025 I’ve been experiencing while watching live TV a black screen at times, it will go into a commercial and then the screen go black I have to go down a channel and back up a channel just to get the picture back anybody else experiencing anything crazy with live TV? Like a black screen every so often you got to go up Channels with down channels just to get a picture back?

  23. Tried with xfinity and they would not give me the deal because i was not a new customer. So i switched to frontier internet. Then after switching xfinity called me and said they decided they could give me the deal. SORRY XFINITY, to little to late. You lost me.

  24. Direct Tv stream is a great bang for my buck because of Sports and News. RSNs to me is important.

  25. I only have YouTube Tv and use Comcast just for internet. Thinking of going to Verizon for internet in place of Comcast. What’s the pros and cons to Verizon W
internet Michael? You’re much better than the other guy that does cord cutting news!
I only watch PBS, CBS, , GameShow channel and YouTube.

  26. Absolutely! Don’t use any of them enough…going back to hardcopy books! 😂😂😂…no matter what stream I use, content tends to repetitive or just plain uninteresting and doesn’t hold my interest…so paying these prices is ridiculous

  27. Yes i had a good antenna your tuner said 83 ch sxanned only 39 useable credentials needed ?!!!! outdated guide

  28. I recently canceled my directv satellite service and streamed YouTube TV for 2-3 months, but ultimately signed up for DirecTV streaming. The price is not much more than YTTV, plus it has a more complete sports offering.

  29. I will never go back to Infinity. Their customer service borders on nonexistent after numerous lengthy phone calls for any problem. It’s YouTube streaming now and it’s a treat.

  30. I have DirecTV and have had it for years and really the main reason for it was for sunday ticket. But somehow the price seems to always creep up on me. Last time I complained they got it down to a reasonable price per month. Now it has crept back up almost an extra 60 dollars a month. I am getting tired of it. I need to find something similar that is less than 90 bucks a month and has a similar guide system with local TV which is important out here where I live. ( Oklahoma and we need local news for the Bad storms and tornado updates and I live in the middle of nowhere so OTA channels do not come in very well. ). I have a mother with Dementia and a Brother with Down Syndrome so the transition needs to be easy so they will be able to slip in to the new routine without much trouble. Any Suggestions? I have considered YT TV but man, their prices are not really cheap and budget friendly anymore lol. however it is still a lot cheaper than what I am paying now ( 180 a month )

  31. Right now, usage platforms in order:
    1) YouTube
    2) MLB (Royals only)
    3) MAX (because the NBA and NHL games are shown and I get it for free with ATT phone)

Canceled YouTube TV until NFL starts back up.

  32. I say from these high prices from these companies like YouTube or DirecTV or something like that they shouldn’t be having any commercials at all for those high prices it’s ridiculous I wouldn’t pay them for those high prices

  33. If you’ve chosen to turn off monetization on your YouTube channel or specific videos, you might expect that no ads will run. But the reality is more complicated. In fact, YouTube can still show ads on your regular videos, even if you’ve disabled monetization. Am I right? Please reply by typing "yes" or "no"

  34. I found out yesterday, when checking if there will be an early subscriber discount for NFL Sunday Ticket, through YouTube tv or YouTube, that they don’t know yet. But I also found out that if you had NFL Sunday Ticket last season, it will automatically renew at full price unless you cancel it. And as you stated, with no refund. The article recommended that you cancel your current subscription.

  35. The truth is most people cut the cord because of the price and commercials. Today the price of streaming has caught up with cable and in some instances surpassed the cost of cable including the commercials. ALL the streaming services are screwing the consumer just like cable did. Time will tell. The next thing is the streaming lobbyists will want the government to outlaw OTA signals.

  36. We got rid of cable TV and only have it just for the internet. For our streaming needs we have an over the airbout door antenna that connects inside to an HD Home Run Flex Network Tuner adaptor..we have a monthly subscription to Philo for our favorite cable channels. We have also discovered The Roku channel which has great contents and an awesome user interface. Every tv has a Google Chromecast w/Google TV. Our xfibity bills was $220 and is now $90.

  37. Youtube, Prime and Britbox, I have xfinity. For a senior citizen it is simpler for me. I am happy with am!

  38. Thanks to your earlier video we’re in the process of converting our xfinity plan to their new cheaper plan. Honestly even the $55 plan doesn’t compete with the fiber that’s available here ($50 for unlimited symmetric 1Gbps). One odd thing (as you mentioned): customer service says if we use our own equipment we’ll be capped. I’d love to understand why using their (free) equipment is required for unlimited data. Any way to get clarification from xfinity?
